DESCRIPTION:𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗦𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗘\nCorona und Lockdown erzeugen Langeweile und Wut. Sozusagen mit der Pandemie entstand auch das Zwei-Personen-Projekt Black Square.\nJeder Song ist ein Statement\, eine Streitkultur auf der Suche nach Konfrontation\, aber auch nach Solidarität. Mit melodischen Gitarrenparts und flottem Haudrauf ́s werden Herzensthemen leidenschaftlich lautgemalt\, um neue Räume zu schaffen.\nHarmonisch-melodischer und melodramatischer Punk mit viel Emotionen\, die überkochen und kurz\nvorm Kollaps enden. Musikalisch nennen die Einen es Neo-Crust\, die Anderen eher politischen Post-Punk mit\nHexenstimme. Ist im Endeffekt aber ganz egal\, denn eine kreischende Fini steht im Vordergrund\, untermalt von zwei Gitarren\, einem Bass und einem Schlagzeug. \n \n  \n𝙎𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙇𝙆𝙊\nSCHALKO klingt nach schlechtem Fußball aus dem Ruhrpott oder spanischem Clown\, ist aber eine Punkband aus dem kleinen abgelegenen Bergdorf Freiburg. Musikalisch eine Mischung aus nachdenklich und Schlägerei.\nOder nennt es wie ihr wollt\, aber bitte nicht zynisch werden. Erste LP „Cool“ erschienen im Herbst 2020 auf Flight13 Records. Ohne konkrete \nAbstimmungen flossen in den folgenden beiden Jahren weitere Aufnahmen von Musiker:innen in ein \nexperimentelles Sound-Arrangement; eine dynamische Komposition\, dessen Ausarbeitung nicht nur \nwegen der physischen Distanz in den „Lockdownphasen“ sehr viel Unerwartetes zuließ. Dissonance is threaded through elegiac\, otherworldly chordal structures; saturnine tremolo melodies float along in the high registers of the instruments; guitars and bass traverse distinct paths before locking into harmonic orbit. These elements\, anchored by blast beats and bellowing guttural vocals\, create a sense of contrast that has come to characterize the band’s sound over the past decade. \nDEVOID OF THOUGHT (IT):\nThe band was born as Warstorm in 2010 in Busto Arsizio playing thrash metal and released the full length „Goatspel“ in for ETN Records. After several line-up changes they decide to evolve into DEVOID OF THOUGHT in 2016 leaning towards a much more death metal edge. \nIn 2017 the band released their first demo „Astral Necrosis“ followed by a second demo „Cosmic Apoptosis“ in 2019\, re-released also as a split with Undeath. DESCRIPTION:Urethane is an American pop punk band hailing from San Diego county. Formed during a pandemic in the winter of 2021. The group’s line-up consists of vocalist/guitarist Tim Fennelly (War Fever)\, guitarist Steve Caballero (The Faction/Odd Man Out)\, bassist Chad Ruiz (Skipjack) and drummer Dylan Wade (ex The Bombpops). Their musical roots dive deep into Punk rock and Melodic hardcore. Urethane’s music emphasizes catchy choruses and melodic hooks that range from mid-tempo anthemic ballads to aggressively fast bangers reminiscent of legends No Use for a Name\, Bad Religion and NOFX. Lyrically\, the songs are a roller coaster of themes that touch on personal struggles\, failures and disappointments that deal with emotional and spiritual identities as well as addressing environmental and societal destruction.
